Shouts Out and Thanks!

August 25, 2008

I wanted to send a big coupla shouts out to readers and kindred spirit writers who visit my blog pretty regularly, and whom I visit regularly because they have such great insight and, well, a grand way with words. You want writerly wisdom and entertainment value, here you go. In no particular order:

Fifthwind: A Writer’s Journey. Ken Kiser has written his first big book and now chronicles the query process — the good, bad, and the fugly — while entertaining us with his wealth of knowledge on the craft of writing. Check him out for some friendly words of wisdom.

Writing for Your Wealth. What do you want to know about the business of blogging? This site has the answers and conveys the author’s insight in layman’s terms so the newbies among us (me included) can easily understand the how’s and why’s of particular aspects of the blogosphere. Lindsay’s tagline, Using words to create financial independence and a lifestyle of freedom, says it all.

Out of Thin Air. Salient, engaging, to the point. Diane Gallant’s writing weblog is a must read. If you’re a struggling writer, you can learn a lot from “listening” to her point of view. If you’re experienced, you’ll find she knows her stuff, even though like most of us, she’s learning as she goes. Report card: Shares well with others and enjoyable to boot.

Not Enough Words. Merrilee Faber writes around her life. She does a good job of it, too! Her take on the writing life will have you returning for a peek time after time. Make it easy on yourself and add her to your blogroll.

There’s my first round of recommendations for all my writer buddies. I’ll post some more of my favorites soon. Thanks again for visiting and supporting fellow bloggers.

Wow! Thank you for the kind words about my blog – I feel honored to be reviewed! Two of the other blogs you mentioned I know about and visit. The third is new to me, and I will certainly visit it now.
